The Berber women pack the wool on the vertical loom using a metal comb, which results in a fine and silky texture of the wool that just feels heavenly on the foot, the Mrirt rugs are the most expensive due to the high quality and the quantity of the wool we use.
Mrirt rug is a family tradition, it’s made by weavers at home and cleaned by her husband outdoors, he clean the rug 4 times before hanging it under the sun to dry which can take 4 weeks during winter.
